Our Budokon weekend felt like a retreat far away somewhere back in the beginning of time. I feel as if I've been to the jungle and met many interesting and fascinating animals some with curious and interesting gaits and then to the orient and perhaps as an extra background person in a kung fu slow motion movie. The whole experience shared with such beautiful and mindful spirits was extremely inspirational and will stay with me forever. I have had such a fantastic day in the ER; I have been filled with boundless energy all day; is this a side effect of budokon?
Again a thousand thanks for introducing me to this wonderful and unique art; I am very proud and excited to be beginning this journey!

Annick, I attended your Ballet Body Classical Conditioning professional workshop last sunday and absolutely fell in love with the program. I had wanted to study ballet since I was little but my parents never really took me seriously. This class really gave me a chance to fulfill a little space in my heart I had always saved for ballet. Thank you. After many years of aerobic training, running and a couple of years doing martial arts, I am currently looking to start teaching, more particularly Ballet body. I am still in pain in places I didn't think I could be in pain ;-) I do hope you will be have more workshops in the future. I have been dancing around my place ever since! Thanks again for the amazing workshop and introduction to this wonderful fitness program.

Bonjour Annick,
Ces 10 jours de détox furent une expérience formidable. J'en étais à ma
premiere expérience et j'étais très anxieuse à l'idée de jeuner. L'aspect
physique du jeune me terrifiait, bien sur j'avais totallement sous estimé
l'aspect psychologique! Bien que j'ai eu quelques petits écarts de conduite,
je me sens transformée par l'expérience. Je ne me suis jamais sentie aussi
bien. Pour moi le bénéfice pricipal à été un regain majeur d'énergie. Puis
j'ai perdu près de 7 lbs.
Le jour 1 à représenté un changement important dans mes habitudes
alimentaires. La première journée ainsi que l'heure du souper des journées 3
et 4 furent sans contredit les moments les plus difficiles. Je me sentais
insatisfaite et affamée! Mais jour après jour le sentiment de faim est
disparu. A ma grande surprise, le jeune s'est déroulé sans problème et s'est
avéré être possiblement la partie la plus facile du programme. Ayant
éliminé la nourriture de ma routine, je n'y pensais plus. Je me suis sentie
très en forme et énergétique les deux premiers jours du jeune.
L'ayant maintenant experiemente, je suis beaucoup plus consciente de
l'importance de manger moins et de manger mieux. C'est incroyable la
différence que l'alimentation peut avoir sur notre vie. Déjà après le jour 1
je me sentais mieux! Je veux définitivement appliquer plusieurs des
principles liés à l'alimentation appliqués durant la détox à ma vie de tous
les jours.
Lors de cette premiere détox, j'étais face à l'inconnu. Je ne savais pas
comment me préparer, je ne savais pas comment mon corps réagirait à chacune des étapes et quelles activités je pourrais accomplir pendant le programme. Ayant maintenant toute l'expérience requise, je me sens prête pour attaquer une deuxième détox plus rigoureuse!
Un gros merci d'avoir introduit ce programme et ces principles dans ma vie!

Thank you so much for the very inspiring class last night, it was fantastic,
i really enjoyed it very very much, there were so many elements of it that
suited me, and I am feeling great today!!
The other people in the class were also really nice, and welcoming, which is
great especially as they were certainly more advanced, a very welcoming
feeling. I found the aspect of Budokon that really resonated with me was the
mind body connection, you really have to think through postures, and the
architectural visualization was really good.
I will continue to try to do Budokon. I think I am a convert!!

This email is way overdue. I wanted to take the time to thank you; I am so glad that you have come back to Square Victoria to teach us again. Your energy and passion are unmatched and you always manage to push me a little further than I ever thought I could. I have to tell you that the advice you give during your classes makes a difference. Since this summer; I have managed to lose 15 lbs. When I heard you say that carrying excess weight meant carrying a 10 lbs weight all day long with us it really made me think about my own excess lbs I was carrying with me. I started with Annick's classes almost four years ago. Every
single class of hers that I attended was truly inspirational. Annick is
different from other teachers because it is so obvious throughout the
session to see how much she genuinely cares that each student is giving
their 110%. Don't think about cheating! The movements, music, energy and
encouragements from Annick are truly motivating and will help you advance

My Budokon practice began several months ago and I have been hooked ever since. It is physically demanding (one of the most intense "workouts" I have ever discovered) but I don't feel as though I am "punishing" my body but rather respecting it. I feel stronger and more energized. It has also given me more confidence; to attempt and succeed at poses that I never would have imagined doing or even trying before is a great feeling.
More than just a workout, my Budokon practice also helps me to stay centered and focused. Sensei Annick is truly an exceptional teacher, she is extremely knowledgeable in many aspects of the art and in life in general. She is an inspiration not only by what she says but by how she demonstrates it. I have tremendous respect for her.

Annick, I used to take your evening classes at la Cour du Roi, and I've just gone through the training to become an instructor. First of all, I would like to give you props and credit for both of the courses I attended yesterday. The Power-Box was a simple, classic and effective routine that got everybody sweating, in virtually, no time. And the Step-Transformation class....I was not expecting that at all! It's difficult for an instructor to get me tired...well, you did : D ! Of the various exercise regimes/disciplines that I have experimented
with in my adult life, my Budokon classes with Annick have been the
most complete and rewarding in many ways.
By complete- I refer to Annick's teachings as being not only an
interesting combination of aerobic, strength, and flexibility
instruction, (with the total being more than the sum of its parts),
but additionally my weekly one hour Budokon experience heightens my

For my personal training I feel like Budokon has opened my eyes to and
given me a much deeper understanding about my Tang Soo Do training, in
terms of creating the right synergy when executing techniques, teaching techniques, and studying techniques.
Since beginning Budokon I recognize the healing aspects of what we do in Tang Soo Do and am able to refine those techniques. I also find many Tang Soo techniques in our Budokon movements.
Budokon is definitely improving me in totality not just in my Martial arts.
